A Mighty Fine Man

Russ Curry, Ministry of New Media

As DailyDOOH editor-in-chief Adrian Cotterill explained to the audience last Thursday at the penultimate event of New York Digital Signage Week, there are many brilliant people in our industry who go undervalued, unrewarded and little recognised.

One such man is Telecine Multimedia‘s James Fine, who has been pioneering digital signage content and interactivity for well over a dozen years now.

With many award winning installations under James’s belt, the team at DailyDOOH thought it was only right and fitting to properly document in print, James’s achievements in digital – which is exactly what they did in DOOH INSIGHTS: Best of 2014, pp85-92.

Better still, the team used the opportunity presented by James speaking at the Digital Signage 4 Employee Communications event to present him with the FIRST copy of the book in North America (shown above at the top, and his reaction to same, shown immediately above).

  1. Alex Hughes Says:

His installation for Bloomberg at London City Airport is a superb example of relevant, contextually appropriate content that works in harmony with its environment and is totally on brand. Worth a visit to the airport even if you are not taking a flight just to check it out!

  2. James Fine Says:

    Adrian and team,

Thank you! I got more WAY more than my 15 minutes of fame in just one day… And I have you to thank for that… Nice touch… rendering me speechless by presenting the Insights article to me… Right before my presentation!

Truly a huge honour that I do not deserve… And will never forget.

  3. Nikk Smith Says:

What a fantastic thing to dailyDooh. Well done, James.

  4. Barry Thurston Says:

A very well deserved accolade for a true gentleman and leading light within our industry.

    Nicely done James!
