Speaking about the upgrading of the facility with the help of Daktronics, Chet Gladchuk, director of athletics, says, “Daktronics’ dynamic, crystal clear color is fantastic, and the WOW factor is multi-dimensional. We could not be more pleased. Daktronics delivers on every front.”

The main centerhung will feature four individual video displays each measuring approximately 8’ high x 8’ wide and featuring 6 millimeter line spacing. These video displays will be capable of showing one large image to highlight live video and instant replays, and can also be divided into separate windows to show a variety of vivid graphics, colorful animations, up-to-the-minute statistics, scoring information and sponsor advertisements.

The centerhung includes a lower ring display that measures 2’ high x 31’ wide in circumference and will also feature 6 millimeter line spacing. This display can show additional statistics and scoring information as well as highlighting sponsors throughout events.

In addition to the equipment installation, Alumni Hall will also receive a bank of hours for the creation of digital content to be produced and delivered by Daktronics Creative Services. This content will consist of any mixture of sponsorship messages, crowd prompts, headshots, game opens and venue announcements at the customer’s request.

The Naval Academy will also receive four LED scoreboards. They include three outdoor Rugby scoreboards and one indoor tennis scoreboard.
