Bill Melo Gets Broader Responsibilities At Toshiba

Bill Melo, vice-president of marketing, services and solutions, Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc., has been appointed chief marketing executive. whereby, in addition to his current responsibilities of managing product marketing, strategic software and platform development, marketing communications and marketing operations, he will now take on a broader marketing role.

IFMelo’s new found responsibility will focus on global development of marketing and branding as well as product and services roadmap. Melo has been with the company since 2002 and most notably led the development and launch of Toshiba’s award-winning program, Encompass Managed Print Services as well as its newest product offering – Ellumina Digital Signage Services. In his new role, he will be integral in rolling out such offerings globally.

During his 23 years in the content management space, Melo has created and led successful marketing initiatives for such companies as Hitachi Koki Imaging Solutions Ricoh Corporation. He also was the chief architect for a U.S. patent for Internet-enabled broadcast printing and lead inventor on three other applications including Toshiba’s Encompass MPS program.
