PALM+Havas, Montreal

Walking into the brand new offices of PALM+Havas in Montreal, you are faced with a bank of digital screens behind the receptionist’s desk, each showing off the agency’s advertising for clients.

Several larger digital screens are located in other sections of the agency. And, on April 3, at the official launch of the offices and new agency name (following PALM’s announcement of becoming part of the Havas worldwide network a few weeks ago), workshops were given by digital specialists from the Montreal office and from Havas’ Chicago office for staff and guests.

These were also treated to demonstrations of new digital offerings available for clients from outside suppliers.

“Communications are much more complex today,” Fernando Rodés Vilà, CEO fernando-rodes-vilaof Havas, Paris, told guests. “There are huge innovations, and we’ve promised PALM+Havas the best tools, talents and technology to offer the best communications for the agency’s clients. We decided to put our resources with Anne Bouthillier (partner and CEO of PALM) and are sharing openly how to share and build brands.”

With the direct link to Havas, PALM will now have access to all Havas knowledge and offerings worldwide.

In addition, Rodés Vilà announced that Havas’ Chicago office will be expanded under the PALM+Havas name, likely by the end of summer. (The agency already has a small Toronto office, as well.)

“We have a new brand and a new office with open space in a new building,” says Bouthilier. “It allows us the be a truly integrated agency, where it’s important to maximize people as well as services. Our positioning is that we are a Canadian agency with organic links to the world.”
