Coming soon – the DailyDOOH Podcast

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

The Macmillan Cancer Support campaign creative is almost finished. It’s going to be a great cross-network campaign (certainly the largest ever across EMEA) with almost 20 networks signed up to donate air time and take part.

Being an executive producer on the content side of things has been a great experience for me. I have learnt a lot by working with some great designers and creative directors.

To do justice to the work that was put in, I had been pondering doing a 15 – 20 minute Podcast on how it was all put together and to try and succinctly describe the work behind it (as follows): –

We have three concepts; Pong and Words1 and Words2

These are all in landscape and portrait.

Pong comes in a 20 second length

Words1 comes in 5, 10 and 20 second versions

Words2 comes in a 5 second version

We also have a special version for use on the very large (High Impact) giant screens, like those of City Gateway Media and PosterPlus that runs as a 20 second.

To add to that, all creative is in both 16:9 and 4:3 ratios and in HD and available at a variety of resolutions converted to suit.

Bottom line, the Screen Networks will be able to cherry pick what they want and need as they wish.

Phew!

In terms of the Podcast, Dominic Smales, the MD of USP Content who I was with yesterday has kindly agreed to allow us to use one of his studios to record the Podcast. The aim of the Podcast is to talk around many of the issues we wrangled with whilst putting the campaign together.

USP Content by the way manage the HMV radio / music network – called Channel HMV’.

Channel HMV is 250 venues, audio only at the moment (i.e. no signage), being run via the Oysterware software.
