Cieslok Media To Support Toronto’s First Living Canadian Flag

Gail Chiasson, North American Editor

For many Canadians, Canada Day, July 1, is an opportunity to come together and honour our nation’s past, present, and future, so in Toronto, 2,015 Ontarians young and old from all walks of life, will form a living re-creation of the Canadian flag.

Participating, among others, will be members of the Order of Canada and the Order of Ontario, and 100 new Canadian citizens, sworn in earlier in the day.

This year, Cieslok Media will celebrate alongside Downtown Yonge Business Improvement Area, with which it has recently been working closely, by providing a live video stream on its screens in Yonge-Dundas Square during the event from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m..

Canadian large-format photographer Edward Burtynsky will also capture this extraordinary image, which will be the focal point of an art exhibition at the Lieutenant Governor’s Suite in anticipation of the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation in 2017.

We are hoping to get a photo from the event within the next day or two.
