TfL London Street Furniture Will Go 2 @JCDecaux_UK

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

30 year incumbent Clear Channel UK’s worst fears have now been realised in respect of Transport for London (TfL)’s 33 borough wide Street Furniture contract as we heard exclusively this week that the contract will soon be (officially) awarded to JCDecaux.

This is bad news for Clear Channel UK (obviously), its parent company Clear Channel International, Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings (CCO), Bain Capital etc., err as well as the Outdoor Media Centre (and future funding surely?) and Amscreen’s Solutions division – Amscreen and Clear Channel UK announced a strategic alliance back in February 2015 where Amscreen would manufacturer digital screens for Bus Shelters.

Rumour is also that Exterion Media were a distant second (though I am not sure what ‘distant’ means in the context of the rumours).

We’ll have more on this later … we don’t want to spill too much information at this point BUT expect the official announcement to be made slightly ahead of the original July 20 date.
