The Digital Signage Federation, the only independent not-for-profit trade organization serving the digital signage industry in the US, has announced a year-over-year membership increase of 18% year-to-date, as of the end of August, 2015.

Total paid member organizations are now at a record 260. Because member organizations are entitled to enroll up to five individual members, that means the DSF now has a total of 646 individual, active and enthusiastic members.

The largest growth categories were:

  • Industry Consultants at +47%
  • Vendors at +33%
  • End Users at +32%

“The Digital Signage industry is demanding more professional development, networking, and real business opportunities that connect buyers and vendors,” says Brian Gorg, DSF executive director. “This is largely why new members are responding to the benefits of membership including the educational discounts and complimentary certification license, that DSF offers, as well as the opportunity to network with over 600 other industry professionals who are individual DSF members.”

DSF membership director Shaneeka James says, “The industry needs a strong trade organization to help create an environment conducive to business growth, which is why the DSF is focused on the business needs of networks, end-users and their customers. Members join both for the tangible benefits of membership, as well as intangibles, like building new relationships. One of the things we continue to focus on is helping members maximize all of the benefits of DSF membership.”

The DSF’s Mission is to support and promote the common business interests of the world-wide digital signage, interactive technologies and the digital out-of-home network industries. It promotes professional recognition through certifications, continuing education, conferences, publications, and presentations offered by the DSF and affiliate groups. It provides regulatory advocacy to leverage the collective strength of members and represent their interests at the higher levels of government and the community. The DSF also provides leadership and networking opportunities focused on building a strong foundation for the advancement of the digital signage industry.
