PATTISON Outdoor Advertising, Canadian Out-of-Home advertising company, and Havas Media, have unveiled the launch of a fully wrapped Toronto Transport Commission Super Train aimed at making the stylish Emirates airlines brand more accessible to the everyday flying public.

Emirates train

Emirates, with media planning provided by Havas Media, has totally wrapped a six-car fixed configuration Toronto Rocket subway train, with creative graphics spread across a total length of 435 feet. The campaign will help strengthen Canadian awareness of the airline, which currently offers three weekly flights from Toronto to Dubai and beyond on its flagship A380.

“Emirates has an incredible network, which opens Canadians up to an impressive variety of destinations around the world,” says Don McWilliam, Emirates country manager for Canada. “Reaching Canadian commuters on the TTC allows us to drive home our network messaging in a receptive environment designed to connect people and places.”

The Toronto Rocket is the newer model of subway trains on the TTC system and this wrapped train will run exclusively on the Yonge-University-Spadina line. In addition to the exterior, the campaign creative is showcased within the interior of the train with Super Interior Posters, Standard Interior Posters (horizontal signage positioned above passenger seats), and Vertical Door Cards (vertical signage positioned on either side of the subway doors).

“PATTISON Outdoor Advertising is proud to reveal an incredibly engaging campaign on the Super Train,” says Bob Leroux, vice-president general manager, national sales, Central Region, PATTISON Outdoor Advertising. “The TTC is an incredible way to connect cultures, and Emirates’ current marketing push and positioning will clearly create a meaningful experience to celebrate the energy of the blue-chip brand of travel in an extremely effective and impactful way.”

The campaign on the Super Train launched on August 31 and will run for four weeks. Additional Out-of-Home products include Station Posters in the TTC subway network and a Digital Matrix Wall in the PATH (Toronto’s underground pedestrian walkway), both beginning September 7.
