ADFLOW Networks Solves PharmaChoice Problems

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia-based PharmaChoice, a member-owned co-operative that represents more than 510 independent pharmacy owners across Canada, used to have a complaint that’s common in chain corporations: the individual locations would misinterpret what the brand should look like.

PharmaChoice_ADFLOW_Digital_SignageJillian Blackman, brand specialist at PharmaChoice head office, says, “We used to struggle with brand execution at the local level, since we have so many locations, and older versions of logos would sometimes float around, as well.”

However, PharmaChoice has now dealt with this issue: by tackling it head on, with contemporary digital signage from ADFLOW Networks. The cooperative decided to install digital screens across numerous locations, with the ability to select and broadcast regulated content across the entire network.

“Digital signage is a really good vehicle for us to have proper, up to date brand recognition at the local level that we can still control and manage at the corporate level,“ says Blackman. “We are also using the digital signage to tie together an omni-channel marketing approach, by tweaking the same content for use on different platforms.”

PharmaChoice_SignageThis ensures brand content is kept consistent across numerous locations, and even across platforms from online to in-store. By maintaining consistent messaging and imagery on their website and nationally across all in-store digital signage, PharmaChoice has been improving brand cohesion at the local level.

Blackman says that ADFLOW is a partner with a vested interest in making sure PharmaChoice networks are online, functioning properly, and producing the results needed.

“Another big key for us is that ADFLOW supplies a 24/7 support line,” she says. “Since all of our stores are independently owned and operated, store hours often differ. So knowing that ADFLOW is able to help at any time of the day was very important to us.

“ADFLOW’s ability to service extremely remote locations is a huge benefit as well, since we have locations that you literally have to take a boat to get to – and some places so remote that they still have dial up Internet! But the team at ADFLOW worked really hard with the partners to deploy their digital signage, and they managed to get it done. There has been no location that ADFLOW has been unable to service, which is pretty impressive because locations don’t get any more remote than ours do.”

ADFLOW claims an average uptime of 99.8%, with a track record in this regard maintained with its current client base over the last five and a half years. Its installations at PharmaChoice started in earlier 2015 and are continuing throughout the year.
