Yet another innovative campaign initiative from the Outdoor Advertising Association of America  (OAAA). Here we see the industry body drive forward a campaign called Recession 101 which intends to change the nation’s perception of the downturn through humorous and succinct reminders that the US can and will get through these challenging times and come out stronger.
Nancy Fletcher wrote in a recent newsletter to her members “Much of the nation is in a slump, which has the result of lengthening the downturn. At OAAA, we’ve been brainstorming about how to help”
Traditional and digital networks that embrace the campaign are encouraged to share images of the campaign in action on the dedicated web site www.recession101.org 
Nancy also expects the campaign to spread virally through social networks like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, as well as a dedicated Flickr location to tag and upload photos.
