Audi Buys First Astral DOOH Landmark At Vancouver International Airport

Audi Canada is the first exclusive advertiser on Vancouver International Airport’s Grand Central Wall, a large LED video wall strategically located in the Air Canada domestic terminal.

“Astral Out of Home has recently been awarded the Vancouver International Airport advertising contract and is actively deploying a multitude of new digital products for 2016,” says Jordana Fatsis, vice-president, sales, Astral Out-of-Home. “We are thrilled that the first digital landmark installed will be owned by such a prestigious brand as Audi.”

The deployment of the impressive 12’x21’ HD LED screen is believed to be the first time a large-format 4mm pitch LED video is used in advertising in a Canadian airport. Audi will own 100% of the digital product and will be able to maximize its exposure by having total flexibility on the advertising content, a huge advantage of Astral Out-of-Home’s digital landmarks. Located in Domestic Departures in Hall C, the Grand Central Wall reaches 100% of all Air Canada terminal passengers and offers high dwell time.

“This installation is the first of several new digital landmarks that will be deployed at YVR in the coming months,” says Benjamin Mathieu, general manager, Airports, Astral Out of Home, adding that Astral will be introducing additional digital displays at departures and arrivals, offering clients a large range of advertising solutions to adapt long term and short term buys.

Astral Out-of-Home was awarded the advertising contract for Vancouver International Airport in June, 2015. The Vancouver airport sees more than 20 million in passenger traffic annually, making it one of Vancouver’s top venues for advertisers looking to reach a privileged clientele.
