The OBIEs this year showed a major jump in creativity from last year, and while, as mentioned earlier, we felt that there was a need for a revamp of categories in the future (which Stephen Freitas, the OAAA’s chief marketing officer, later told us is in the plans), we really enjoyed seeing the finalists and winners – many of which we had never seen before.

Corona - Hall of FameWe were interested in the fact that no gold winners were awarded in several categories, proving (to us, at least) that the judging committee – composed of recognized creative leaders – did not feel that there was emphatically an outstanding entry in those categories.

The judging committee looked through 1,200 entries in total.

The Hall of Fame Award, which honours a client’s creative excellence through many years was presented to Corona Extra.
