“I’ve got 30 minutes and 60 slides so I’m not going to hang about” declared Dino Burbidge, WCRS’s Director of Innovation and Technology at the start of his address at The DailyDOOH Media Summit [1].
He divided his presentation, entitled ‘Eyes are so yesterday. Are you ready for the future of’ into the following: –
- NOW – where we are now
- NEAR – what’s close but we’re not really doing at the moment
- NEXT – the cool stuff which is probably illegal and certainly morally corrupt
- NEO – Matrix – Red Pill Blue Pill – How far do you want to go down the rabbit hole ?
And true to his word he whisked through them all to finish perfectly on time. So we had VR, AR, APIs, Beacons, Holographic Plasma, Haptic Feedback, Wi-Fi Triangulation, Memory Manipulation, and my favourite – Optical Cortex Implants…and many more.
We couldn’t get Dino to slow down on the day but thanks to pause and replay on the video, you can rewind and repeat and so, have a much better chance of digesting all that he had to say!
