Digital Signage Software Roll-Up Starts Monday!

Many may read into the news, that will be announced Monday, that x has acquired a major stake in y – as some form of proof that the much vaunted strategy of ‘a digital signage software software rollup’ may have actually kicked off (it’s been a talking point at The DailyDOOH Investor Conference for the past five or six years now).

We’ll leave you dear readers to make your own decision on that when you read the story (yes on Monday, we’ve been sworn to secrecy for months now) but our take is that with buyer x having a track record of keeping its investments intact, company y is looking to be re-invigorated rather than be swallowed up.

We’ve been talking to a number of private equity companies this year about the acquiring of more than one digital signage software company – separately there’s even rumours of an ‘adtech’ fund being setup specifically for the #OOH #DOOH sector.
