If you give the mainstream press enough time they will finally catch up with you – it was after all ONLY 53 weeks ago that we wrote about the likes of WIndowgain taking advantage of vacant storefronts.

Even much earlier than that, back in September 2007 in fact is our first recorded description of ‘Vacant Storefronts’ – Motomedia who we believe very much pioneered this space using empty storefronts in shopping malls.

Nevertheless Stephanie Clifford has written a good story in the NY TImes ‘As Storefronts Become Vacant, Ads Arrive‘ which prominently makes mention of much of the work done in the US by the folks at Inwindow Outdoor.
