Behind The Electrograph Liquidation

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Even alongside the news of GM going Tango Uniform, the announcement that Electrograph Systems, a HUGE reseller of Digital Signage technologies through the North American AV reseller channel, was shutting its doors and being liquidated seemed to cause quite a stir.

This shouldn’t have been a massive surprise as they had been in bad shape for quite a time. It’s nearly impossible for a niche distributor to compete against the likes of Ingram – you simply cannot live well on 1-2% margin!

What will be very interesting is who gets stung as creditors – we bet that some well known companies will take a hit on this. One of those we reckon will most definitely be Samsung.
