10 Vancouver Buses To Get Screens in Phase One

Further to our June 3 news that LiteLogic Operations has landed a new contract with Lamar Transit Advertising for the Vancouver Transit System, Byron Montgomery, Lamar’s vice-president general manager, tells us that phase one will see the LED screens deployed on a total of 10 buses in Vancouver in summer or early fall.

Lamar operates Vancouver Transit System’s media spaces.

“We’re rolling this out gradually in three of four phases, but the initial client survey and interaction following the pilot bus trial over eight weeks has shown overwhelming interest and support,” Montgomery says.

Advertisers in the one bus pilot phase included the Transit agency focused on employment and the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games advertising Olympic apparel.

The 10 buses will have the 26” x 126” screens on curbside illuminated on the Vancouver routes 17-to-18 hours a day.
