WPP’s Smart Cities Company LOOM Media & Volta Charging Partnership

LOOM Media, the smart cities company within WPP’s tenthavenue, and Volta Charging, America’s largest free electric car charging network, are pleased to announce a partnership to bring Volta nationwide scale.

Jonathan Schulhof, founder and CEO of LOOM told us “To date, Volta has offset 6.8M pounds of CO2 and given away more than 15.7M EV miles—that’s 5,389 trips from San Francisco to New York City. Through our efforts with Volta, we’re proud to be contributing to a cleaner world”.

Volta provides free electric vehicle charging facilities at high traffic locations. This accelerates the adoption of cleaner vehicle types and offers convenience to the community. Monetized through sponsored content, the Volta network is provided to hosts as a free, turn-key service, and offers charging at no cost to the community.

LOOM will assist Volta. aiming for a four-fold increase to its network scale, adding 1,500 new high traffic locations in the immediate future and expanding from current shopping center locations to now include municipal sites in major cities. Already in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago, the LOOM partnership will enable Volta expansion to metro areas such as Washington, DC, New York, Boston and Seattle / Portland. To this end, LOOM will provide Volta with third-party sales representation as well as consulting services in support of financing, marketing, sponsorship and real estate services.
