Richard Corbett joins Bird

There’s been no official announcement that we can see but it appears that entrepreneur extraordinaire Richard Corbett may have finally given up with Eyetease and taken a proper job.

His LinkedIn profile now lists him as Head of UK and Ireland for Bird ^[1] and as you would expect with someone who courts controversy he has already made the papers in a story posted earlier this week ‘Private emails reveal how multibillion-dollar startups Bird and Lime are lobbying to launch their illegal scooters in Britain ^[2]’.

Bird was founded by Travis VanderZanden, a former Lyft and Uber executive and whilst it has 1,000 scooters on many US city streets, its only city listed on its website outside North America at present is Paris.
