We told you yesterday (Thursday) that changes were afoot at Talon Outdoor, and a press release today (Friday) confirmed that with news that Barry Cupples has joined them as Global CEO.
Barry Cupples previously spent 25 years at Omnicom Media Group and held roles including CEO Asia-Pacific, CEO Eastern Europe and Global Investment CEO. He obviously brings extensive and multiple media and management experience at a global level and the ability to work across a multi-billion dollar client investment portfolio.
We are told that he will lead the establishment of Talon’s offering on a global basis and bring his knowledge and experience to bear as Talon implements intelligent platforms to allow the Out of Home channel to communicate with the foremost potency and efficiency.
Eric Newnham, who remains in a full time role at Talon, as Founder, and remains the largest private shareholder, told us “Bringing in someone of Barry’s calibre and experience is an absolutely ideal appointment for us to add real strength to our management team in this crucial next phase, as we bring technology expertise and global expansion together to truly transform our Out of Home business”.
Barry Cupples will work alongside founder and shareholder Eric Newnham and Talon’s management shareholders – Managing Directors Frank Bryant and James Copley – together with the rest of the senior management team.
