Former Posterscope and Groundtruth industry veteran, James Davies, has launched crossover – a new business described as a full-service location agency which will uniquely operate across all aspects of location marketing whether online or offline.
James told us that ‘crossover’ will work with brands, media owners and technology companies to help them extract maximum value from innovation in location based data, technology and mobile. He told us “In doing so, crossover will create better connections between online and offline activities, identify new media efficiencies and enable brands to be more memorable through creative relevance and high-engagement experiences”.
James has worked in this space for 25 years, most recently as UK Managing Director at mobile location platform, GroundTruth and before that as Chief Strategy Officer UK & US at Posterscope and truly one of the early pioneers in the Digital Out of Home industry.
He added “The various forms of location based communications, whether online or offline can be incredibly powerful individually but are amplified enormously when these solutions are connected with each other or integrated with other aspects of marketing. However that’s not always easy and the diverse expertise within crossover brings together the knowledge and experience that’s necessary to make this a reality. We also take a collaborative approach and are very happy to work with any other partners from a client’s’ roster to help deliver the best possible outcome”
The crossover team will provide deep expertise across areas including out-of-home, experiential, mobile advertising and marketing, programmatic, data planning and effectiveness attribution. For media owners and technology companies, crossover will operate on a consultancy basis. Meanwhile, for brands, assessments of current activity and future opportunities are provided along with campaign planning and activation services.
