Miya Knights has 20 years’ experience with the use of enterprise technology in retail. She is a consultant, research analyst, journalist, editor and publisher and has a comprehensive understanding of technology market trends, gained first hand by examining the business challenges faced by retailers. She is also incredibly well versed in the technologies that they, the retailer, need in order to meet rapidly-evolving consumer expectations and demands.

Miya has advised the world’s biggest retailers, brands and technology providers, moderated and spoken at industry-leading events and is consistently ranked as one of Vend’s top 50 retail influencers.

She has appeared on BBC News, BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio 4 and BBC 5Live, Sky TV and ITN News, and has been quoted in The Telegraph, Financial Times, Retail Week and various retail and technology industry trade publications. As a journalist, Miya was a regular contributor to a number of publications, including The Times, The Independent, Financial Times, E&T Magazine, HRZone, TechWeekEurope UK, CIO UK, Computer Weekly, IT Pro, Cloud Pro, v3.co.uk and Computing.

Prior to joining digital marketing software firm Eagle Eye as Head of Industry Insight, Miya was Technology Research Director at Planet Retail and Senior Research Analyst with IDC Retail Insights. Miya edited Retail Technology magazine for 10 years, and now owns and publishes the title. She has also recently co-authored two books; Amazon with fellow retail expert, Natalie Berg and Omnichannel Retail with Tim Mason, the CMO who launched Tesco Clubcard, which is still one the world’s largest and most successful loyalty schemes today.

Miya will present in London on Wednesday May 15 at the Global Digital Signage Conference. Her presentation is titled ‘How Amazon will Continue to Revolutionise Commerce‘ and will cover all things retail!

London Digital Signage Week takes place May 13-17, 2019 and as with its counterpart in New York, the week is for anyone involved with digital signage and interested in retail, employee communications, smart cities, digital out of home and of course digital signage!
