Geopath, the not-for-profit organization that provides audience location measurement to the out-of-home industry is keying in on privacy, the need for DOOH standards and advances in OOH audience measurement, at a variety of panels and events during New York Digital Signage Week, Oct 14-17, 2019.

By the time you read this, Geopath, in partnership with The World Out of Home Organization (WOO, formerly FEPE International) and the Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA), will have hosted an invite only, opening reception on October 14 at the Renaissance Hotel in Times Square.

Other activities include: –

  • Privacy and Proof, A DSF Coffee and Controversy Event – October 15: Geopath President Kym Frank will speak on a panel hosted by the Digital Signage Federation (DSF), on privacy in digital out-of-home and digital signage. The panel, moderated by 16:9 blogger and industry practitioner Dave Haynes, will explore the interdependencies, and potential privacy implications, at play regarding measurement and monetization strategies.vKym Frank will be joined with industry leaders from Public Knowledge, Droga5, High Street Collective & Living Retail Lab, and The Science Project. The panel will take place from 8am-11am at the Microsoft Training Facility in Times Square.
  • Panel Discussion on Privacy Concerns – October 16: During an expert panel at the NEC Showcase event, Geopath President Kym Frank will discuss key and controversial privacy questions surrounding anonymous video analytics and how retailers can maintain consumer trust when they’re using this technology. Starting at 11:15am, the session will be held at Canoe Studios in West Chelsea.
  • Welcome to the Data Jungle – October 17: At the AdTECH: OOH New York Conference, Kym Frank will participate on a panel with Anna Bager, president and chief executive officer at the OAAA and Scott Marden, chief marketing officer at Captivate, on the current data ecosystem in the OOH industry. The panel, hosted by Ryan Joe, managing director of AdExchanger, will be held at MediaMath’s offices at the World Trade Center complex at 11:15am.
