Addirect currently installs its AddMirrors into the washrooms of high end bars and nightclubs in the UK. They claim over 600 venues which is a large number for such a young company.
Like other bar, pub and club networks (the Dutch ON, Avanti’s Magnetic and MVN and Brightspace Media in the UK) this is an ideal way for advertisers to reach the 18-34 year old high spending demographic.
In the UK at least, there are a number of traditional washroom advertisers – only one other to my knowledge, Carl Pickford’s CPA Ads is doing anything serious with digital implementations. What I like about Addmirror is the idea that people looking in washroom mirrors cannot fail to see the adverts.
Addirect have just entered into an agreement wiith MBO Capital Pte Ltd, a Singapore based Out-of-home Media & Advertising Company which I believe will mean that Singapore, Thailand, China (including Hong Kong and Macau), UAE and India will be the next countries to be rolling out the AddMirror.
Recent UK advertisers have been Remington, 20th Century Fox, Unilever, Nissan and The Home Office.
