Parc Astérix Chooses Media4Display For Its Park

The third most visited theme park in France with more than 50 million visitors, Parc Astérix has decided to deploy the Media4Display digital signage solution.

The aim of this digitalization is threefold. On one hand, to improve visitor reception quality, on another hand to enrich the customer experience by making it always more attractive and immersive, and finally to support its technical teams on a daily basis for optimal reactivity and quality.

Grégory Cosnard, IT Department, Parc Astérix said “Parc Asterix operates like a small city in which each department has its own needs and specificities. Digital signage allows us to improve the visitor experience as well as supervise the park and guarantee the quality of the services we offer”.

  • Optimization of the visitor experience and crowd management. To guide its visitors through its 34 hectares, Parc Asterix has placed digital signage screens at its most popular attractions. These screens display the waiting times for all the attractions in real time, as well as daily show schedules, safety instructions and promotional messages. Digital signage allows for both crowd management and optimization of the visitor experience.
  • Productivity gain for technical teams. Digital signage accompanies technicians in their daily tasks by providing information available at a glance on a digital dashboard. The screens, positioned in the different technical areas of the park and connected to the Parc Asterix Information System, display real time interventions and reminders of the service providers on certain equipment. For example, certain screens display the temperatures of the cold storage rooms in order to avoid any loss of goods; others are used for the monitoring and maintenance of the park’s lighting system.
  • Autonomous content management by various contributors. Parc Astérix has three hotels equipped with digital signage screens managed independently by the hotel staff. These screens display information specific to each of the establishments (room availability, breakfast times, presence of characters at different points in the hotel, etc.), but they can also be personalized with the colors of a company during a seminar or when areas are privatized.

French software vendor Telelogos has more than 2,000 customers with 500,000 licenses used in more than 50 countries by all types of companies, from SMEs to major accounts (Astre, Geodis, La Poste, Renault, SNCF, etc.).
