James Li Joins Christie, China Cinema

James Li has joined Christie as Executive Director, China Cinema, with immediate effect.

He has more than 28 years of experience in China’s cinema industry and is well respected and trusted by customers with his strong technology background and sound business acumen. He had worked in China Film Group (CFG) for 11 years and was Deputy General Manager of Zhuhai Cinema Service before joining Advanced Communication Equipment (ACE), a leading Christie distributor/dealer in China, where he served as Director of its Cinema Division for six years. Subsequently, James took up the role of Sales Director and Strategic Planning Director of Digital Cinema in CFG-Barco. He had also served as the Deputy General Manager of NEC China’s Display Solution Division. Prior to joining Christie, James was the General Manager of 4DX (Beijing) Cinema Technology Co. Ltd.

In his new role, James will serve as the sales and strategic head of Christie’s Cinema business in China. His tasks include sales-related, direct and indirect management of marketing, product management, customer service and technical support. He will lead China’s Cinema team compromising of Li Shen, Senior Sales Manager, Tiexin Zhao, Sales Manager, and Lindy Yang, Assistant Sales Manager. James reports to Brian Claypool, Executive Vice President, Cinema.

He holds a Graduate Diploma in International Trade from the University of International Business and Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Economics from Renmin University of China.
