Following on from the two announcements earlier this week that Samsung Electronics Co. and Chinese hardware giant (and Motorola parent) Lenovo will both not be exhibiting at June’s #MWC21 / #MWC2021 in Barcelona, news is just in that Qualcomm have also pulled out.
The company said in a statement “While we appreciate the health and safety measures being put into place by the GSMA for MWC Barcelona, we have decided that it is in the best interest of our employees and customers for Qualcomm’s participation to be virtual this year”.
Qualcomm join an ever growing list of Lenovo, Samsung, Cisco, Google, Sony, Nokia, Facebook, Oracle and Ericsson (who were the first to pull out) [1].
