London Digital Signage Week By The Numbers

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Many said it could not be done and that it would not happen but we take great pride in the fact that we managed to pull off a creditable London Digital Signage Week which took place Monday May 17-21, 2021.

By the numbers then…

  • Events that took place that week were the first in-person events for 458 days (the last being #ISE2020 in Amsterdam which ended February 14, 2020)
  • A dozen or so events attracted just over 1,000 unique visitors
  • Zoom fatigue is real, the turnout rate for the online elements of the week ranged from a low of 50% to a high of 69%
  • Two showrooms were officially opened during the week
  • There was no London Digital Signage Week in 2020 but even excluding that this was the 7th year that the week has been held
  • It was the fifth time that the AdTECH:OOH – London Conference has been held
  • The AdTECH:OOH – London Conference is the first of seven #AdTECH #OOH Conferences planned for this year
  • Beaver Trison have kicked off every London Digital Signage Week since inception
  • The World Out of Home Organisation’s European Forum was the largest online event, closely followed by the Quividi/Intel/Samsung Smart Retail Webinar
  • The week in ‘London’ stretched as far as Braintree, Essex to Bracknell, Berkshire in the South East
  • #SamsungKX was the host to the most events, three in total

The Ministry of New Media would like to thank those who have believed in their vision and trusted them with their brand, their sponsors Samsung, Clevertouch Technologies, Intel, Advantech and SNA Displays and their official event organisers; Beaver Trison, GRIDSERVE, Midwich, PSCo, Pixel Inspiration, POPAI, Quividi and the World Out of Home Organisation.

London Digital Signage Week will be back in May 2022 but next up is New York Digital Signage Week which will take place October 11-15, 2021.

There was no New York Digital Signage Week in 2020 but in 2019 the week was host to 45 separate events.

New York Digital Signage Week 2021 will be its 10th anniversary year!
