Ichiro Jinnai told us this past Monday “It is my pleasure to share the news today that I will be stepping down as President and CEO of LIVE BOARD after over two years at the helm of this incredible organization. Having been part of the Dentsu family for almost a decade, I am proud and honored to share that my friend and colleague Sakurai-san (Mr. Jun Sakurai) will be taking over as President and CEO effective immediately. Sakurai-san has most recently been on the board of LIVE BOARD and has been part of the Dentsu family for over 20 years. His leadership and vision will ensure LIVE BOARD continues to grow. Please join me in welcoming Sakurai-san in his new role.”

Jinnai-san is regarded as the founder of programmatic DOOH in Japan. His vision of creating a programmatic DOOH ad exchange has manifested into LIVE BOARD which today has multiple relationships with media owners, agencies and DSPs.

Mr. Jun Sakurai said “I greatly admire Jinnai-san’s incredible leadership in his role at LIVE BOARD. I look forward to working with Jinnai-san during this transition period, and we will be staying in close touch as he takes some well deserved time.”

Andreas Soupliotis, CEO and Founder, Hivestack who has also been instrumental in the growth of LIVE BOARD told us “Hivestack is thrilled to welcome Sakurai-san to his new role at LIVE BOARD and I want to personally thank Jinnai-san for being the most incredible, strategic and supportive partner. Jinnai-san has paved the way for innovation in DOOH in Japan and for brands looking at outside-in buys. He will always remain in the Hivestack family.”
