    VlogRobot;

    There are some who (rightly or wrongly) call this media ‘close proximity signage’ but how close in this example does one actually have to be to be able to see & ssimilate the content on screen?

    Perhaps this lack of clarity is indicative of low resolution video capture but regardless, the video was taken at just the point the content should have been reaching out to me as a customer moving throught the store and therefore it should have engaged in a clear and meaningful way. Sadly this doesn’t seem to be the case in the Shoe department at John Lewis.

    My glass always being at least half full, it is good to see a premium department store brand such as John Lewis adopting digital signage.

    Two questions:

    1. Was it a concession operating this screen and if so, who?
    2. Did it have sound?
    3. What actually WAS on the screen?

    Best wishes
