Murmurings and rumour in the UK last week of a three year, five thousand license deal for someone. We think this is almost definitely Scala and very, very likely to be with CAN Media [1] – who are the only folks with a network / prospective network growth of that size.
CAN Media’s The Life Channel (TLC) have been integrating Scala into their own software management solution – the so called Integrated Content Management System (ICMS) for many years now and we suspect that this new announcement will see IC5 (Scala’e latest release) being involved here.
ICMS will undoubtedly also be the core offering of TLC in their expansion in South Africa [2] so this size of license deal for Scala makes a lot of sense.
