#COVID19 Event Casualties (2022)

Here is a list of the cancellations and postponements, in date they would have happened order…

• The World Economic Forum which was scheduled to take place in Davos, Switzerland January 17-21, 2020 has been postponed. It is now planned for “early summer”.
• NATPE Miami 2022 which was due to take place January 18-20, 2022 in Miami Florida has been cancelled. The National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) is a global content association and professional membership organization dedicated to shaping the future of content through global marketplaces and conferences, screenings, awards, and networking events.
• The highly popular Bett Show, aimed at the global community involved in education technology which was to take place at ExCeL London January 19-21, 2022 has been postponed. The new dates are March 23-25, 2022 and the event will still take place at ExCeL London.
• RENEW 2022, organised by the Advertising Association, the IPA and ISBA for January 27, 2022 at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, London which was to be a hybrid event will now, no longer have any physical in-person aspect. It’s online only.
• Integrated Systems Events, the organisers of #ISE2022 have postponed #ISE2022 for three months. The new dates are May 10-13, 2022.
• ICE London was originally due to take place from February 1 to 3, followed by iGB Affiliate London from February 2 to 5 2022, at ExCeL London but both have been postponed now until April 12-14 and April 13-14 respectively
• ITB Berlin 2022 was scheduled March 9-13, 2022 as an in-person event, where visitors could meet face-to-face in the usual way but the organisers have announced that the attendance part of the event will not take place as planned.
• OOH Expo, India’s largest exposition of state-of-the-art technologies, hardware, and creative solutions for the out of home industry which was to take place at Nehru Centre, Mumbai on March 14-15, 2022 has been moved to July 29-30, 2022 at the Westin, Mumbai
• The organisers of #DSE2022, the Digital Signage Experience event which should have taken place March 21-23 have moved the event to November, it will now be co-located with Questex’s other shows, the LDI and XLIVE at the Las Vegas Convention Center November 17-19, 2022.
• Passenger Terminal EXPO which was due to take place April 5-7, 2022 in Paris has been postponed by nine weeks and will now be held on June 15, 16, 17, 2022
• The Impact22 – POPAI Sustainability Summit ^[1] has been postponed to Wednesday June 15, 2022
• Beijing InfoComm China which was due to take place July 13 – 15, 2022 will be re-scheduled to sometime later in the year.
• ATS Singapore ^[2] which was supposed to take place March 30-31, 2022 in Singapore has been moved to July 20-21, 2022
• The 2022 17th International IoT Exhibition Shanghai which was due to take place April 26-28, 2022 has been cancelled and merged into the 2022 18th International IoT Exhibition in Shenzhen which will take place August 18-20, 2022 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.
• E3 2022 which was due to take place in Los Angeles in June is now an online only event. The pandemic also led to the cancellation of last year’s show and forced E3 2021 into a digital-only format.
