Leon Taviansky Steps Down At Global

Leon Taviansky, Chief Executive Officer of Global’s Outdoor division, is stepping down from his executive role at the end of March 2022.

Leon told us “It has now been over three years since the acquisition of Exterion Media by Global and my commitment at the time to Ashley [Tabor-King] and Stephen [Miron] was to lead the business until we had successfully integrated the three companies. That time has now come, and I am very proud of the work that the team have achieved and know that the business is now set up for great success in the future. It gives me the opportunity to pursue other interests outside, whilst also being able to continue working with colleagues at Global.”

He joined Global in 2018, following the acquisition of Exterion Media where he had been the COO, and then CEO, for five years. He has played a significant role in leading the integration of Global’s three acquired Outdoor companies.

Stephen Miron, Group CEO of Global, said: “We could not have asked any more from Leon in his leadership of our Outdoor businesses over the last three years. He has been an integral part of the senior leadership team at Global and has played a key role in helping us to build the Outdoor business so successfully. Whilst we’re obviously going to be sorry to see him leave us in his executive capacity, we are delighted that he has agreed to continue in the role as an advisor to Global.”

Ashley Tabor-King OBE, Founder and Executive President of Global, added: “Leon has overseen a huge integration at Global, creating the largest outdoor company in the UK. He’s then steered it through some of the toughest times ever with Covid, and out of that emerges a healthy company with enormous potential. Leon’s hard work and passion for this is not taken for granted, and I’m pleased he has agreed to stay on in an advisory role. Thank you, Leon, I’m immensely proud of what you’ve done at Global.”

From April 2022 Leon will act as a strategic advisor to the Board and will continue to support Global on its Outdoor strategy and retain oversight of its International Outdoor businesses.
