InSite Street Media Wins HART Bus System

InSite Street Media has been awarded a ten year contract to maintain and monetize transit shelters for the Huntington Area Rapid Transit (HART) Bus system run by the Town of Huntington in New York.

Keith Thompson, President & CEO of InSite Street Media told us “Our Long Island Division continues to perform very well. We are delighted that the Town of Huntington chose us as their Street Furniture partner.”

The inventory in this idyllic, North Shore town is comprised of 40 HART Bus shelters and 80 advertising faces. The Town of Huntington is approximately 93 square miles with a population currently estimated at 203,264. It includes the four incorporated Villages Northport, Asharoken, Lloyd Harbor, and Huntington Bay. In addition, there are also the prominent unincorporated areas of Cold Spring Harbor, Elwood, Huntington, Huntington Station, South Huntington, Melville, East Northport, Halesite, Dix Hills, Centerport, Greenlawn, and Fort Salonga.

Town of Huntington Supervisor Ed Smyth said “InSite demonstrated a successful track record partnering with other municipalities in Suffolk and Nassau Counties and we were aptly impressed, We look forward to working with InSite as we modernize our HART bus shelter amenities and increase ridership for this inexpensive, sustainable method of transportation.”

InSite Street Media currently operates in Nassau and Suffolk counties 755 shelter faces, 244 ad benches and advertising on the Suffolk County Transit system in Suffolk County, NY.
