With all the work we are doing, it strangely seems at the moment that everything is shopping centre and shopping mall oriented!

We weren’t involved in this but this 10 screen LED install just came in from Lighthouse

Located at the Ni?anta?i quarter of Istanbul, the new City’s Ni?anta?i shopping mall is entirely in keeping with its surroundings, one of Istanbul’s most exclusive and expensive shopping districts.

With the mall designed to be the fashion centre of the capital, City’s Ni?anta?i’s owner has installed 10 Lighthouse screens to show a range of suitably eye-catching promotional visuals.

On the exterior wall, above the mall’s main entrance, a portrait format 6 x 20 panels (6.12m (w) x 15.2m (h)) curved P16i/o LED screen entices shoppers in to indulge their taste for the latest garments and accessories. Another screen of 5 x 6 panels (5.1m (w) x 4.56m(h)) P16 located just inside.

Further into the building, a 4 x 5 panels (2.56m (w) x 2.4m (h)) Lighthouse P6 screen is situated opposite the elevator entrance on each of the centre’s eight floors. These panels are controlled by two Lighthouse X-drive Pro and two LIP-KX processors for the curved screen, an X-drive Pro and LIP-DX for the indoor P16 screen and an X-drive Pro and eight LIP-DX for the P6 screens.

Astel Electronics, one of Turkey’s biggest AV companies, supplied and installed the Lighthouse panels. “We have been using Lighthouse products for over three years and have a lot of its equipment in our rental stocks,” says Astel’s General manager Mr. Tugberk Buyukbay. “The developers of the City’s Ni?anta?i centre wanted to use LED screens because of their superb image quality, all-round product quality, long-life and low power consumption. LED screens are also the best choice for outdoor installations because of their durability. Also the sharp curve required for the exterior screen can only be achieved with LED.”

“We chose Lighthouse in particular because of its good reputation, the known quality and reliability of the panels and the availability of local technical support.”

Designed by Lighthouse engineers, Astel’s precisely manufactured frame for the eye-catching exterior screen meant that installation was relatively straightforward. Despite other factors conspiring to make the project more challenging – namely Istanbul’s legendary traffic – Lighthouse’s design made the project as simple as possible.

“Ni?anta?i is the busiest district of Istanbul, so traffic was a major issue,” says Mr Buyukbay. “All transportation of materials had to be done at night under heavy restrictions. The screen installation had to be very precise but, having manufactured the frame according to the Lighthouse CAD drawings, everything fit perfectly.”

Content for the screens is managed by a professional advertising agency, with all 10 screens being controlled and the content fed from a central location.

“The developers of City’s Ni?anta?i are pleased with Lighthouse screens,” says Mr Buyukbay. “The colours, viewing angles and image quality of the Lighthouse panels even exceed their expectation. And the curved exterior screen has already become a very famous feature of the Ni?anta?i quarter.”

“City’s Ni?anta?i is all about high quality and so Lighthouse screens are the complement for promoting its retailers,” says Lighthouse’s sales director, Southern Europe, Roberto Segato.

“Providing a high quality preview, which truly reflects the fashions inside, is the ideal way to encourage potential customers to visit the stores. With the precise colour reproduction and superior uniformity of our LED screens, they provide the most accurate images possible of the products themselves.”
