No comment from anyone on our team just yet until we hear exactly what happened though we suspect it’s a case of “new broom sweeps clean” but news literally just in, in the last few minutes…

28th September 2009
Tim Bleakley resigns from CBS Outdoor UK

CBS Outdoor UK Managing Director of Sales & Marketing, Tim Bleakley, has resigned today from his role. He is leaving the business to pursue other commercial ventures.

Bleakley has been with CBS Outdoor since 2004. During his tenure, CBS Outdoor has emerged as a market leader in transport and digital out-of-home advertising, consistently growing revenue and market share while also picking numerous industry awards including Campaign’s Digital Sales Team of the Year and UK Outdoor Sales Team of the Year in 2008. Bleakley has played a key role in building CBS Outdoor’s digital network since the win of the London Underground contract in 2006 and also sits on the OAA board.

Tim Bleakely said, ‘This is a big decision in the current climate. I have had a fantastic time at CBS Outdoor which I am certain has a very bright future but it is time for me to seek a new challenge.’

Antonio Alonso said, ’Tim has been a great asset to the company and has made a significant contribution to the business. I wish him well on his next venture.’

Antonio Alonso is of course the relatively new Chief Executive Officer of CBS Outdoor International; named CEO on 11th August 2009 and responsible for the Company’s international portfolio of outdoor businesses, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and mainland China.
