GreenSigns, Chicago’s first and only fully sustainable out-of-home advertising company, announced this week the sale of select billboard assets. The transaction includes a portion of GreenSigns’ digital and static billboard inventory in the Chicago metropolitan area.
We understand that GreenSigns will continue to operate under the leadership of Founder and CEO Joseph Mancino, who tells us that he remains committed to expanding the company’s mission of delivering eco-conscious
advertising solutions.
GreenSigns plans to reinvest in new sustainable media initiatives, including the development of additional renewable-powered digital displays and the exploration
of innovative green advertising technologies.
Joseph Mancino told us “This strategic move allows us to focus on our core mission: pioneering sustainable practices in the OOH industry and challenging our peers to follow suit. We are excited about our future. GreenSigns’ strength resides in its integrity and longevity in the Chicago market. People trust us and they like the way we do business”.
Founded in 2012, GreenSigns has been a trailblazer in sustainable advertising, utilizing 100% wind and solar energy to power its billboards and constructing signage from recycled materials.
The company also operates a paperless sales operation and uses eco-friendly materials for its static signs, significantly reducing its environmental footprint.
GreenSigns will maintain its headquarters in Chicago and continue to serve clients seeking sustainable advertising options. The company is actively exploring opportunities to expand its network of renewable-powered billboards and to develop new partnerships that align with its environmental values.
