UB Media has announced the acquisition of Pattison Outdoor’s Residential Network.

Michael Minicucci, President of UB Media told us “This acquisition represents a major milestone in our mission to redefine how video connects with audiences in their everyday environments. Pattison’s Residential Network is a strong complement to our existing portfolio and accelerates our vision of building one cohesive platform that delivers high-impact, contextually relevant video experiences at unmatched scale. While our roots are in out-of-home, UB TV is defining something entirely new — Video IRL. No other platform delivers full-motion, sound-enabled video content at this scale in such contextually powerful, captive environments.”

This acquisition significantly enhances the scale and reach of UB TV, UB Media’s national digital platform in real-world environments such as urban condominiums and residential communities.

Since launching in 2024, UB TV has transformed UB Media’s place-based footprint into a unified video ecosystem, connecting advertisers and audiences through sight, sound, and motion. With the addition of Pattison’s Residential Network, UB TV now commands the largest residential screen presence in Canada, delivering immersive video experiences directly into the spaces where Canadians live and connect.

All acquired screens will be upgraded with UB TV’s proprietary software and next-generation hardware, enabling multi-sensory experiences with full-motion video and sound. By Q1 2026, every residential screen across the expanded network will be UB TV-enabled, uniting the medium under one national platform — a first for the Canadian market.

UB Media says that it is creating a new category in place-based media, bridging the gap between digital video and the physical world.
