“From an unknown technology just a few years ago, digital signage is now set for rapid growth with some experts estimating a $1 billion market by 2012. That is why IBC2007 will reflect the growing business of digital signage.
Clearly this is a growing area of business, so we are developing an initiative that allows manufacturers to showcase their systems, running common content developed with IBC, in a dedicated zone,” explained Phil White, IBC director of technology and events. “Our aim is to attract an audience from new areas including retail and construction as well as systems integrators and installers.”
As well as the exhibition zone IBC is driving the event with a business briefing session taking place over the weekend, based on a recent high profile digital signage case study. This will be followed by a networking social event, allowing suppliers, installers and customers to meet over cocktails”
