More rumours from inside Samsung…
Looks like Samsung are building their own range of Outdoor Media products. Tentatively called ONX, the range will include a new 77″ screen in a 6-sheet housing.
We first mentioned this screen in May in our post “The Real Samsung Story Is 77 Inches!!!!” [1] and there is no reason to suppose that 1500 nits in brightness is not also the aim with this 6-sheet product.
Ultimately a product range such as this from such a large and well respected manufacturer may well spell serious trouble for specialist screen companies such as Finland’s Symbicon [2], the UK’s Esprit Digital [3] and others who have failed so far to gain traction and to win large contracts and orders.
