The suffix ‘pod’ is perhaps getting a little bit over used in our industry as you can see if you were to compare VMG’s Iconic Pod [1] (a good example of a piece of ‘street furniture’), Street Live’s InfoPod (see previous post) with a more PC / kiosk oriented unit like this Cyberpod IV from Aztec Event Services [2]
Note the Cyberpod IV’s integrated keyboard and the wheels (the system also has built-in Wi-Fi) as the system is primarily designed for rental at events, conferences and trade shows.
In grammar, a suffix or ending is an affix which is placed at the end of a word. Common examples are case endings, which indicate the grammatical case etc.
