Mocopay Partners With Loyalty 360 And Names New CIO

Cincinnati-based Loyalty 360 [1], the Loyalty Marketer’s Association, has partnered with Mocapay [2], provider of the mobile experience platform that supports integrated mobile payments, marketing, and distribution at point-of-sale.

Mocapay has created a new channel to help retailers broaden their gift and loyalty programs by mobilizing sales and marketing to reach customers anytime, not just at the point of sale, encourage purchases and build a stronger brand affinity.

“As a think tank and clearing house of marketing ideas, new technologies and best practices, Loyalty 360 is uniquely positioned to help us educate the market about our new channel and the impact it will make in the customer loyalty space,” says Kevin Grieve, CEO of Denver-based Mocapay. “This strategic partnership will enable us to share our expertise regarding mobile payments and mobile marketing, helping retailers and the overall industry to make mobile commerce a reality that any sized business can easily and cost-effectively integrate while also creating a new sales and marketing channel.”

“Loyalty 360 is driven by Voice of the Customer, a strategy that is at the heart of Mocapay’s offering,” says Mark Johnson, CEO of Loyalty 360. “This is a technology the market seems to have a keen interest in. With people twice as likely to carry their cell phones than cash, being able to ‘mobilize’ a gift and loyalty program can provide significant returns to a merchant by creating a new channel to reach their customers before, during and after a purchase – thereby building a stronger brand affinity and enhancing the lifetime value of a customer.”

In other Mocopay news, Will White has been named chief information officer with the role of supporting the growing demand for Mocapay’s mobile Software-as-a-Service technology that provides merchants an integrated marketing and sales solution to enhance the lifetime value of their customers.

White, with more than 25 years of experience with Fortune 100 companies across several industries during his career, recently served as vice president of software engineering at Raymond James [3]. He earlier held senior technology positions with Citigroup [4]‘s Diners Club International [5] and US West, and engineering management positions at NCR [6], Teradata [7], and Boeing [8].

“Will’s expertise and strong leadership will be a tremendous asset to Mocapay as we expand our services to meet the growing demand among merchants to mobilize their gift and customer loyalty programs,” says Kevin Grieve, Mocopay’s CEO. “His background in working with startup and global organizations helping to define and implement systems strategies will be instrumental to supporting Mocapay’s growth strategies in 2010 and beyond.”
