ScreenMedia To Do Local / Regional Sales For IMUK

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

ScreenMedia Ltd fresh from our post last week “That’s Not My Name” has announced a media sales deal with network IMUK – by the way don’t confuse these folks with Dave / Dan Williams’ Screen Media Group Ltd (though undoubtedly that will happen with such similar sounding names and both working in the same space).

It’s an exclusive 3 year contract for all local and regional sales on screens located throughout the X-Leisure venues; 02 Centre, Xscape Milton Keynes, Xscape Castleford, Xscape Braehead and soon Brighton Marina.

Tim Godwin, Managing Director, IMUK told us “‘we are delighted to be working with ScreenMedia Limited to deliver local sales across all locations to compliment our national brand campaigns. We look forward to a long partnership with ScreenMedia Limited having been aware of their previous successes and we shall be extending local sales across all 19 X-Leisure locations in the very near future”.

The ScreenMedia press released confirmed what we already knew – that and we quote “he Company has been formed by Georgia Baillie and Anthony Hague who between them have over 15 years experience in sponsorship and media sales including the launch of Tesco Tv and running local media sales for both Screen FX and more recently Avanti Screenmedia Plc”

ScreenMedia Ltd. also make mention of starting local sales in Tesco stores – no, not Tesco Screens dumbing down now that Joel Hopwood has departed Dunnhumby – these are the relatively few screens in the restaurant area of the biggest stores – currently managed by the Wrt Group – a company that concentrate mainly on printed media in association with Tesco, Sainsburys and other big retailers.

It will be interesting to see how this latter deal works out.

Expect more announcements / confirmations of rumours from ScreenMedia Ltd. shortly.
