PSAs For Haiti Relief Available

Guest Contributor, Dave Haynes, The Preset Group

We want to let people in the digital signage and digital out of home community know that we’ve prepared a series of very simple hi-rez video spots that network operators can use to help direct funds to Red Cross groups in the US and internationally.

Landscape and portrait versions are available, and we did a few file formats for download. We also left the Final Cut Pro file up there for producers to download. (That alone saves them 2 – 3 hours of work).

ANYONE can have these, including other networks, any end-users. Heck you can even download the flash versions and resize for your website, if you so choose.

The catalyst came at the end of last week from a DailyDOOH post wondering why there were not more appeals on DOOH networks for Haiti relief.

Preset member David Weinfeld suggested we had the resources to put spots together for network operators who’d like to help, but didn’t have the time or resources to build a spot on their own. There are countless agencies helping out, but we selected the Red Cross for simplicity and because of the haunting imagery agency photographers have captured.

Nice move, and thank you Dave. I just want to say that some Networks, have used inventory on screen or online to help the situation in Haiti. It’s just that sometimes, it’s not necessary to publicize the gesture but just do it quietly. In addition to the Red Cross, OxFam is a great group heavily involved in the effort in Haiti.
