We heard rumours in the US last week about a major deal announcement coming from one of the Global Telecoms suppliers!
We have always been amazed at how few Digital Signage hardware and software vendors have ever taken the time (or had the balls) to make a play for the Telecoms folks. The Telecom guys after all, already have big networks and lots of existing customers.
Cisco should be doing well in this space – especially as many of the big Telcos are also Cisco Value Added Resellers (VARs) but we have not seen any examples of that nor, we believe, is this announcement anything to do with Cisco.
We are expecting a press release this week (most probably) or next.
Looks like it was STRATACACHE who have bagged AT&T for BOTH US domestic and U.S. and Global Resale/Managed Services with regard Digital Signage.
