Everwell Partners with SparkPeople

Atlanta-based Everwell TV, a nationwide TV network in doctors’ waiting rooms, has announced a new cross-platform partnership leading to content exchange with SparkPeople, America’s active weight-loss and fitness website.

Promotional messages for The Spark, a new book and New York Times Best Seller from SparkPeople that offers a proven approach to lasting weight loss and better health, are now running on the Everwell network in the offices of thousands of physicians.

At the same time, SparkPeople is featuring Everwell’s award-winning health and wellness video content on its site – and in SparkPeople’s e-newsletters, which have more than 2.3 million subscribers.

The agreement at this time strictly involves content, not advertising sales.

“SparkPeople has developed a large and loyal following of people who use its many tools to lose weight and feel better,” says Robert Davis, Ph.D., Everwell’s presidentand editor-in-chief.

The partnership with SparkPeople is part of the “Everwell…Everywhere” initiative, an ambitious effort to expand the reach of the company’s video content through its own consumer Everwell website, e-newsletter and iPhone app, as well as relationships with other content creators, distributors and syndicators.

Everwell’s content is lively and entertaining, and often includes a dose of humor. The Everwell library consists of hundreds of original segments created by the company’s own highly experienced team of producers. New videos are added continuously.

“Our organizations share a mission: to help people lead healthier lives,” says Chris Downie, founder of SparkPeople.com, and author of The Spark. “Everwell’s engaging videos are a perfect complement to our online tools and resources.”
