Sony’s (Almost) Powerpoint Presentation

Sony Dixons Retail LHR T3

After writing rather glowingly about the layout, design and signage of a number of Sony Style stores just a few weeks ago, see “Sony Style Store, Barcelona – Playstation Area“, we have to say how disappointed we are having now seen a number of Sony retail ‘branded fixtures’.

This one we saw over the weekend in a Dixons store at London’s Heathrow Airport. Sony is a big organisation but it obviously doesn’t spend enough time or effort in protecting its brand when it comes to digital signage – the display was shoddy, with hard to read, wipe on / wipe off graphics that wouldn’t have done a corporate powerpoint presentation justice let alone a Sony brand retail demo trying to attract customers.

Very disappointing.
