The Kellogg Innovation Network at Chicago-based Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management has announced that Akoo, the world’s largest social TV network, has become a member company and that Niko Drakoulis, Akoo’s chairman and CEO, will serve as a delegate for the KIN Global 2010 summit.

The KIN Global Summit on ‘Building Global Prosperity: Innovation and Action’, will take place May 17-19, 2010, at the Kellogg School and is limited to 175 global change makers. Drakoulis will join innovation leaders from global corporations, government, and academia in a series of collaborative working sessions facilitated by Kellogg faculty members and designed to serve as a catalyst for meaningful action.

“Under Niko Drakoulis’ leadership, Akoo is at the forefront of media innovation, enabling 90 million monthly consumers to engage with entertainment programming in entirely new and empowering ways,” says Robert Wolcott, KIN founder and executive director. “We look forward to a highly productive and long-term collaboration with Akoo.”

“The KIN is an effective platform for thought leaders in business, government, non-profit and academia to promote innovation-led, sustainable growth,” says Drakoulis. “I’m extremely proud to serve as a 2010 delegate and humbled by the opportunity to collaborate with leaders from around the world on critical global issues.”

Drakoulis has transformed his vision into the world’s largest social television network, which is redefining how the leading brands connect with active, media-elusive consumers. Drakoulis has been awarded four United States patents during a 19-year career that spans broadcast media, wireless, and digital media.

The Kellogg Innovation Network is a unique, ongoing forum for select executives and innovators to meet and discuss internal and industry-wide challenges, business growth and successful strategies, with thought leaders from the Kellogg School of Management and beyond. Founded in 2003 by Professors Mohan Sawhney and Robert Wolcott, the KIN directly informs faculty research by identifying and helping solve real-time challenges facing today’s innovation leaders. The KIN’s collaborative nature enables academics to define relevant and timely research problems based on insights from leaders across sectors and geographies.
