Shell Branded Stores And Gas Stations To Sport Go-Screens

GoGo Cast Inc. [1], digital out-of-home media company based in Cranston, Rhode Island, and Colbea Enterprises LLC, based in Cranston, RI, have signed a digital merchandising agreement for gas and convenience stores in Rhode Island and Massachusetts that will see deployment of GoGo Cast’s high definition Go-Screens into Colbea’s 40 gas and convenient stores – all operating under the Shell [2] brand.

It may also involve 56 additional dealer sites that Colbea now services.

GoGo Cast will use its industry-leading dynamic digital sign and advertising solution to help Colbea Convenience stores and others similar to engage customers with meaningful and informative content. GoGo Cast’s customer and location data will reach a captive in-store audience, delivering its messages to help influence buying decisions directly at the point of purchase.

Based on earlier pilots, Colbea Enterprises is expected to see an increase in sales for products advertised on the screens. For shoppers, the content will enhance the store experience and help them make smart purchasing decisions and be aware of sale prices and special promotions. Advertisers will be able to highlight key selling points, complementing traditional point-of-purchase advertising.

David Paolo, president and CEO of GoGO Cast, says, “Dynamic content, or narrowcasting as it’s called, is quickly becoming the advertising choice of retailers and brands alike for its effectiveness and the critical mass of qualified buyers it can reach.”

Installation should be complete by the end of Q2.

Colbea Enterprises LLC is a joint venture between Motiva Enterprises LLC [3], Houston, Texas, and East Side Enterprises LLC [4], Cranston, Rhode Island.

I recently had the opportunity to attend the ribbon cutting of their new corporate office’s. It was an impressive facility and a wonderful event. They were able to attract the Mayor, the City Council and heads of the Chamber of Commerce. Pretty impressive line up and quite an accomplishment for a management team. They were running demo’s of their product and I was quite astounded of the capabilities. Announcing this deal with Shell in New England really makes them one of the dominate players in the north east. I wish them luck.
